I have capped the American Pie DVD special called ‘American Pie: Revealed‘ which came out in 2004. The DVD has over 3 hours of interviews, outtakes, trivia, deleted scenes [there was a whole story line taken from American Pie 2 about Heather & Oz!!!] etc from all 3 pie films. Very cool to watch if your a fan of the American Pie films. I’ve made some clips too from the DVD but they will be added later (with the rest of the Mena videos we have!) as we are looking into starting out own kind of “Mena-Tube” - a streaming archive of 100’s of Mena clips - anyway that is to come. For now enjoy the DVD caps and this teaser clip!

I know, bad me - updates have been very slack! I know I’ve been promising a new layout and I’ll add it just as soon as I have a spare few hours, I’ve had some other commitments of late, but to make up for it a bit I got some time to upload the Vegas and You magazine scans. Mena has also been on the cove cover of Bal Harbour magazine (I’ve never heard of it, but I did snag a copy from eBay) and Ocean Drive (both November issues) the cover is here and the article is here (same as Vegas). Scans should available here soon.
I FINALLY saw Beauty Shop today - the DVD was released in Australia last week, Mena was hilarious, but I’m disappointed she’s only in 3 scenes. Watch out soon for DVD captures.
What else is new…… Domino will be released on DVD on February 14th 2006 in Region 1. The Dog Problem is a new film that Mena is shooting at the moment (also starring Scott Caan [also writer and director], Don Cheadle and Giovanni Ribisi) and she plays Jules. Caffeine now have an official website up www.caffeinethefilm.com - dial up users, beware - HUGE images. Entertainment Tonight is have a “Rumor Has It” week with something new each day relating to the film! SO tune in! Have you been itching to hear about Standing Still?? (I have!!!!!) Moviehole.com has a review!
I think that’s about it for now! Keep checking the latest events to check out what she’s up to (and wearing!!!) - Until my next update!! (and I hope my next one includes the layout, more scans and some DVD caps!!!)
The Beauty Shop DVD will be released in the US & Canada (Region 1) on August 23rd. I’m uber excited because I FINALLY get to see the film!!! Amazon doesn’t list any extra’s but if you find any please let us know!
Finally for those waiting for the region 1 release of Trauma it’s happening!!! Look out on June 14th 2005! It’s available to pre-order from amazon.com for $18.73. Sad news, the region 1 DVD has no special features. The region 2 DVD (UK) has a commentary (by director Marc Evans) and a ‘making-of’ featurette.
DVD Reviewer reports that Warner Home Video will release Trauma directed by Marc Evans on the 21st February. BAFTA and Emmy Award nominee Colin Firth stars with Mena Suvari in this chilling psychological thriller with support from Naomi Harris, Tommy Flanagan, Sean Harris, Brenda Fricker and Ken Cranham.
Awaking from a coma to discover his wife has been killed in a car accident; Ben’s (Firth) world may as well have come to an end. A few weeks later he is out of hospital, and attempting to rebuild his life. He moves house and is befriended by Charlotte (Suvari), his beautiful, young neighbour. But all is not what it seems and haunted by visions of his dead wife, Ben starts to lose his grip on reality…
When a bereaved man, can no longer make sense of his situation he retreats into a delusional world where he cannot distinguish between what is real and what is not. In following Ben’s story, the film deals with many common themes - grief, loneliness and denial.
Extras are listed as an audio commentary by director Evans and Colin Firth, a ‘Making of’ featurette and the trailer. Presented with Dolby surround 5.1 and anamorphic widescreen it will be priced at £15.99.
