Loading ...BackStage.com reports that Mena Suvari will topline the indie drama “The Garden of Eden” opposite her “Factory Girl” co-star Jack Huston. John Irvin will helm the film, which is being produced and financed by U.K. company Berwick Street Prods.
Caterina Murino and Richard E. Grant round out the cast.
Based on Ernest Hemingway’s novel, which was published posthumously, the story is set in the Jazz Age years before the Great Depression and follows a successful young American writer, David Bourne (Huston), and his beautiful wife, Catherine (Suvari), on their extended honeymoon in Europe. Catherine soon becomes restless and starts to test her husband’s devotion, pushing him to the limits of her imagination.
Murino (”Casino Royale”) has been cast as Marita, an Italian temptress who join the Bournes’ erotic honeymoon adventures, and Grant (”Gosford Park”) will play the eccentric but quick-witted colonel.
Principal photography began this week, with filming taking place at the Ciudad de la Luz studios in Alicante, Spain, and on locations around Costa Blanca and Valencia.

New Line writes in to say that in no way, shape or form was DOMINO rescheduled because of the recent legal issues of the real Domino Harvey as speculated upon below. The film was, they claim, scheduled for a new date, well before this happened. The trailer showed promise and only served to get me more riled up. The film was scheduled to be released this August but now New Line has decided to push the film back until November 4th. Reasons for the delay were not announced but it is interesting to note that the real Domino Harvey was arrested and charged with conspiracy to distribute drugs, possession, trafficking and racketeering last week. Not sure exactly what impact that would have on the film but it may bide the studio some time to add a brief coda or simply have Harvey available to do press. Taken from JoBlo.com

Mena Suvari filed for a divorce from husband of 5 years [married March 2000], Robert Brinkmann. Filed in a Los Angeles court on May 10th, Mena is claiming irreconcilable differences. MSF.com wishes to respect the privacy of Mena and Robert and we wish them both well.
After 3 weeks I’m finally back! One of my hard drives crashed and I lost almost 40 gig worth of data! This included all of my Mena media and files. I did find an old backup of my Mena folder from 2003 so I still have some things, but I lost my work from the last 2 or so years. Not a happy camper! But can’t cry over lost files, I’ll just have to start building up again! I’ll go and find all the news from the past 3 weeks and post it now! Also for those wondering at this point of time we wont be continuing with the “Ask Mena” project due to one, I lost all the questions during the computer crash and because we can’t reach her at the moment which is totally understandable. I hope to one day be able to get it gong again in *fingers crossed!*

My computer has broke down, and in the shop at the moment so I have no access to my files/media, and so I’m offline. I can get on a public computer every couple of days but no real updates until then. I hope to be back in the next few weeks! Sorry!
