July 1997:

All of Me Airs!
Farrah Fawcett's Pay-Per-View aired on June 11, 1997. This Playboy erotic video/Farrah Fawcett documentary was full of nice surprises. For "Angel" collectors, there were several vintage commercials and personal photos from her childhood! To the connoisseurs of fine art, Ms. Fawcett proved that she is truly an artist in the world of painting and sculpting. After only an hour (58 minutes), you were left with a deeper understanding of this icon's philosophy on acting and life. Just like the Rosalind Russell quote she has lived by: "Acting is standing up naked and turning around very slowly." Ms. Fawcett does just that! She has expressed herself and exposed her innermost fears, loves and hardships with not only the camera but with the viewer. Throughout her career, she has been one of the most talked about and celebrated women in the world, and she still continues to burn in the eyes of all her fans!

Of course, Ms. Fawcett has been the most talked about in the past few weeks. Not for her performance on her Pay-Per-View, but for her appearance on David Letterman. When Farrah appeared on The Late Show on June 6th, she seemed unable to finish thoughts and was easily distracted by the audience. Tabloid headlines screamed "Farrah's Drug Agony" and "Farrah Caught in Drug Scandal." Jay Bernstein, Farrah's former manager, nationally took "the rap" for Farrah's performance. Bernstein told USA Today, that he advised Farrah to act like Marilyn Monroe. Ms. Fawcett mentioned in People (June 30, 1997) magazine that there was absolutely no drugs and she was just really nervous to go on to Letterman's show. Fawcett was extremely upset with the allegations and mentioned that she felt the Letterman show went fine.

Farrah Fawcett, who has always been a health nut and still has a perfect body, is coming out on top. Although the icon garbed two weeks of tabloid covers, her Farrah Fawcett: All of Me Pay-For-View special is reported to come in around the $1 million dollar mark! (which does not include Playboy magazine or upcoming video sales!).

Coming up: August 12 is the video release of Farrah Fawcett: All of Me with 12 minutes of additional footage not seen in the Pay-Per-View special. The video will retail at $19.98. Also, sometime this month on Farrah’s website (www.farrahdise.com) her “All of Me” merchandise will be available. Products slated to be sold are a poster and t-shirts. These products will also be sold through the Playboy catalog. Watch next month issues for more details!
