I have one of the first photos of Mena’s new hair cut! She’s gone a short peroxide blonde cut - very edgy and cool! She is currently filming ‘Garden Of Eden’ in Spain and on June 24th she went to the San Juan (St. John) Festival in Alicante [eastern Spain]. Check out the photo below!

Ive also added some photos of Mena at the Brooklyn Rules press conference back on May 10th in New York.

Rigel Entertainment has just released a movie poster and a trailer for the up-coming ‘Stuck’. You can view the trailer here. The film is described as a psychologically dark thriller. It was recently previwed at Cannes to good reviews. It’s great to see Mena in a leading role again! I’ll add captures to the gallery soon.

… and we’re back! Finally after weeks of working the site is officially re open! I’ve converted the whole site to a script for running it smoother and updating it easier. A few notes - I’m still to add in the news from 2006, however we now have news from 2003 til now! The system lets you rate news and pages, comment better [no more disappearing comments!] and find similar posts. The biography section now has some new photos in it - looks a bit brighter! The career/projects section has the latest details on her current and future films. I will plan on making film pages in the future. The library is now set up different where you can download the articles and interviews on a .txt file so you can keep it on your hard drive if needed or just view it a lot easier. The web guide features some of my favorite Mena related sites and links to many others. Ive started a style & fashion part which will be growing over the next few months! The photo gallery now has a separate look and feel to it, were now housing over 8,000 Mena photos, scans and captures. Our video archive is currently closed and under construction, but I can let you know it will be similar to the photo gallery [run by Coppermine]. The fanlisting has a new layout too so check that out and join if you haven’t already!
I think that’s about it! Phew! Oh! Also I want to mention the site looks the best viewed in a FireFox browser. You can download it for free [view more information on the side bar.] Let me know what you all think and I hope you enjoy the new look and feel of the site!
Mena sent me this note about her new film, Garden of Eden -
i am in Spain working on Garden Of Eden and we are in our rehearsal period and just having the best time! everyone is so lovely and Spain is just exquisite! i am so excited about playing the role of Catherine and can’t even begin to tell you how utterly honored i am. Garden Of Eden is one of my favorite books, and i am just so thrilled to be part of turning this book into a film.
BackStage.com reports that Mena Suvari will topline the indie drama “The Garden of Eden” opposite her “Factory Girl” co-star Jack Huston. John Irvin will helm the film, which is being produced and financed by U.K. company Berwick Street Prods.
Caterina Murino and Richard E. Grant round out the cast.
Based on Ernest Hemingway’s novel, which was published posthumously, the story is set in the Jazz Age years before the Great Depression and follows a successful young American writer, David Bourne (Huston), and his beautiful wife, Catherine (Suvari), on their extended honeymoon in Europe. Catherine soon becomes restless and starts to test her husband’s devotion, pushing him to the limits of her imagination.
Murino (”Casino Royale”) has been cast as Marita, an Italian temptress who join the Bournes’ erotic honeymoon adventures, and Grant (”Gosford Park”) will play the eccentric but quick-witted colonel.
Principal photography began this week, with filming taking place at the Ciudad de la Luz studios in Alicante, Spain, and on locations around Costa Blanca and Valencia.
