Loading ...Sir Richard Attenborough’s planned film starring Peter O’Toole, Dennis Hopper and Shirley MacLaine could be scrapped because of changes to UK tax laws.
Closing The Ring, which Mena Suvari has also signed up for, may now be abandoned due to the ending of a tax incentive, reports the Daily Express.
The film’s backers will no longer be allowed to set their investment against tax losses.
The Gandhi director said: “Even if it does go ahead, I’m not sure whether the brilliant cast we had lined up will be free to do it.”
